Thumbs up MTF IBA Regional SS1K - 9/26/09 - July 14, 2009, 01:58 PM

The Members of the Motorcycle Tourer's Forum (MTF)
are pleased to sponsor
The Iron Butt Association's Regional SaddleSore 1000 (1000 miles in 24 hours)

The regional SS1000's are back to NoVA. As I did in 2007, I will be the host for the 2009 Regional SS1000 with a start/finish in Herndon. If you are interested in Long Distance Riding, here's an opportunity for you to find out if this is something that might tickle you. If you don't know what the "Iron Butt Association" is all about, please click here to read more about the IBA and its offerings.

For the 2009 edition there are two pre-planned routes with fixed stops for the documentation.
1. An Instate 1000 mile route that required to be an IBA member
2. A simple out and back 1000 mile route that is for everybody

Registration is open until September 20th, 2009. Pre-registration required. No onsite registration will be allowed. No easier way to get that IBA membership, or if you already have one try an in-state route. All registration fees for online registrants must be paid by September 20, 2009 or your registration will be cancelled.

The MTF will witness, verify and submit your ride to the IBA for certification. The certification fee for this ride is 45.00. While the MTF is only providing logistical support for your ride, we have an obligation to the Long Distance Riding community to insure that you comply with the guidelines as stipulated on this page and on the Home Page for this ride. The Site Coordinator has full authority to limit participation for any reason. If your participation is terminated prior to start of the ride AND you have treated the Site Coordinator respectfully, you will receive a full refund.
