Myrtle Beach Bike Week: Cancelled - January 13, 2009, 11:09 PM

Not due to the economic conditions, but b/c the township wants to keep the peace and eliminate traffic.

Bikers will still show up and do their thing. I think requiring helmets is a good thing during that time anyway.

As a visitor, yeah good times. As a resident not so much.

To be specific..."Harley" week is crazy, SI peeps make LOTS of money. During "Sportbike" week people dont tip worth shit and bitch about everything, constantly trying to get their tabs comp. Hell many establishments would make their money during Harley week and then shut down during Sportbike week just so they wouldnt have to deal with the bullshit. The two weeks are def different. Cannot cancel one without the other, I guess.
