Anyways i lost friends last yr im sure u did too...Well my friend survived barely he was released a few months ago sence he got out we discussed helpin out. We are tryin to organise a blood drive and charity fund raiser for fairfax hospital trauma unit...the weekend of june 19th. The plan is to start at hospital dontate blood...then a group ride..hopefully ending at colmans in hoodbridge. we will have a raffle bbq/fish fry. There will be a stunt show more then likely music. what im lookin for from this forum is donations for the raffle wether its bike shops or any kind of buisness..my tattoo shops donating gift certs.

sorry for the run on sentence and bad spellin..

So inova saves our lives and those of who we love so lets get togther...im doin this by myself with out a club or group..I welcome all mc's and independent riders and family and friends...i know im rambling but ive been losing sleep over this..now that i sound like an emo song i'll wait for replys..blessed love

You might want to cage it after giving blood. (just a thought considering it can impair judgment and cause you to feel tired or faint)

INOVA INFO

Call 1-866-BLOODSAVES (1-866-256-6372)

or visit

http://www.inova.org/get-involved/bl...ices/index.jsp

Contact Coleman's and other vendors directly as your more likely to get to the correct person you need and if you are organized you're likely to get help with the event.

Good luck and sorry to hear about your friends.

+1 on not mixing blood donation with motorcycling.

I get it real bad myself. I've donated blood 3 times, all 3 times I blacked out after 3/4 of the bag. I guess I don't run with any extra blood!

I always make sure to eat before and immediately following donating and haven't had any kind of light headedness that lasts more than a few minutes. It's good people recognize not to mix being impaired with riding though, I plan on grubbing out at the event though

can you still ride if you can't donate blood?

Sorry, lived in Europe for too long in the 80's, apparently makes me not a donor...
