If you do not know, then you are in trouble.
Basically a T-CLOCK check (MSF Course) will tell you if you are or not.
However my MINIMUM requirements are pretty simple.

-Minimum Tread
-Brake Lights work
-Bike won't be dropping parts (no ductaped together brake levers)

I would highly suggest you check your chain for tension, rust, kinks, etc.

If there is ANY doubt that your bike isn't safe, it probably isn't.
I have never sent a rider packing from a ride because of the "roadworthyness" of their bike, so just use common sense and you should be alright.
