Exclamation OC Car and Truck Show June 11-12 - bikes too? - March 28, 2011, 06:19 PM

So there's been discussion of a new bike oriented weekend that would be geared more toward sportbikes.
Was thinking of maybe throwing it in with OC Car and Truck Show. alot of those guys are more similar to us than the older cruiser/harley crowd.

i spoke with the people who host the show and they are happy to add a few classes for bikes and include for a oc car truck n bike show if there is interest. i know not many people on here have show bikes like that but just getting a couple hundred sportbikes down there for the weekend alone would be fun combined with the show and senior beach week.

I've set up a few car meets in my day that had great success of 600-700 cars just locally so I think with 2 months notice it wouldn't be tooo hard to get a few hundred bikes down there.

basically it's make a nice flyer, paste it around on the forums you frequent and tell people to come. word spreads through that. I've got a good number of friends who ride who would be down for the weekend as well. (10-15 bikes).

any interest or ideas? anybody good with photoshop or designing flyers? I used to have it/use it for flyers but no longer have the program and am realll rusty using it.

so who could design up a decent flyer to paste around?

i was thinkin something to really catch attn may like,
" The First Annual
Ocean City Sportbike Weekend" - across the top in flashy font n colors

-info about the event saying the dates and that some of the hottest cars will also be there for the OC Car and Truck Show that weekend
-then a couple bikes pasted around on it

Also if we can get enough bikes to actually enter the show then it can be in conjunction with the show and sound a lil more professionally done.

can anyone do this? shouldn't take more than 2-3hrs to design it up n then post it here and everyone can paste it along to their forums they visit.

Do you really need to go all out and make a flyer?? Not saying it's a bad idea, but it might be good enough to just modify your post using HTML to change fonts, sizes, colors, layout, pictures, etc. I think when it gets copied and pasted it keeps most of the formatting. I personally am not a fan of flyers, they don't sell me on any ideas, so just my opinion.

i don't mean like a flyer to hand out n post, just one drawn up n hosted to copy n paste online.

changing the font n all is good but who ever copy n pastes it is going to have to go in and put all the code in again for size n colors vs using image tags n pasting the pic link.

something along the lines of this for example
