Oct 27 -- Howl-o-Ween for pets - October 9, 2007, 09:45 AM

Hi gang,

Patriot HD is holding a pet open house on Oct 27 from 10 am to 2 pm, called Howl-O-Ween. 9739 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax VA 22031. 703.352.5400

Rain or Shine! We'll be indoors worst case!!

We will have a vet here to answer your questions, a groomer to offer hints and tips, an agility demonstration, and a carting demonstration by a pair of Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs. There will be a demonstration by bomb sniffing dogs at 11 and 1. Pet bakeries are also signing up, so dog treats galore! We'll also have a booth set up so you can have your pet take a picture on a Harley -- proceeds to Fairfax County Animal Shelter.

In addition, costume contests for pets! Best costume, best biker outfit, and best owner/pet duo costume. Also prizes for biggest and smallest pets, and most exotic. The costume contests are 12:30 to 1, so mark the time! Registration is from 11:30 to 12:15 so get here early! Best trick is a new award.

I'm trying to convince them to give a coupon to anyone who rides in with their pets, but I haven't heard confirmation. Will post up when I know.

I hope this is a success -- I know it's Harley bikes, but it's going to be a fun time for pets and kids. Come on down! Jada and I will definitely be here!

Cheers
Lucy

Not sure, I'll let you know. It's worth every penny -- if Spike slips his collar, he's lost. All you have to do is let your vet and the shelters know and they all scan the chip. It's awesome.

First thing I did with Jada... I'll find out and post up.

I'll try and get Tyson in a costume and bring her down...don't know how long it will last if I even get it on her, but it will be funny.

I have Home Again, and once you pay for it, you pay for it. I think they have an "upgrade" available online after registration, but it's your choice. Once it's in, it's in and working.

Will get brand name for the chip and pricing. I'm in training all day today, so it might be tomorrow before you hear from me.

AWESOME that everyone's coming! I can't wait to see -- and everyone has to compete for the best owner/pet duo costume!

I'm gonna put my butterfly wings on Spike, make him a gay pug just to piss Justin and my Mom off.

The last time I put a cheerleading costume on my dog, she almost killed herself when she tripped over the pompoms going down the stairs!!

This sounds like a fun event. Maybe I'll get 2 of my girls out there. One of them needs to be microchipped too! I don't know about the costume part though! We'll see about that.
