Picnic Ride! Sunday, July 31st, 2016 - July 25, 2016, 09:39 AM

Check out the event on FB: https://www.facebook.com/events/524680297737326/

This really is a great, fun trip.
Stands up at 9am
Chill pace
ATGATT or you can't play
Hot Dogs, food and beverage provided for by Brooks Cycles

Come take a trip to the beautiful appalacian mountains and view some of Virginia's best roads from the seat of your motorcycle! We will be taking all back roads to the mountains and stopping for a picnic next to Passage Creek in Fort Valley. Brooks Cycles will be providing all of the food for the picnic. Come hungry for hot dogs and potato salad! There is a small wading erea, so bring your swim trunks, too! We will finish the ride at Revolutions in Centreville for some pool and a cold one!
Here's the Rules:
Stands up at 0900 sharp. Our first stop is about 100 miles, so make sure you have a full tank.
Pace: Chill. I'll be on the PC so don't expect anything fast.
ATGATT - If you don't dress for the party, you can't dance with us.
Food: Hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad
Distance: About 200 miles round trip

Sounds fun. I should be able to make this. Curious if the WR426 makes it 100 miles on a tank though.

I wish I could run this but doubt I can get 100 miles on a tank on my bike.

I wanna say "maybe" ... the weather isn't that favorable and I've never ridden in rain.

I'm seriously thinking about this.
Is there anything I should bring along or do to prepare?

(i know to check fluids levels and for any leaks, and tire pressure)

Anyone leaving from Maryland, crossing the American Legion Memorial Bridge?
