Cool RAM's Spring Open House to Benefit Japan - May 3, 2011, 12:16 PM

RAM Cycles is an independent motorcycle shop located in the DC Metropolitan area. We are a unique shop and strive to maintain our high customer satisfaction by providing quality work in a timely and efficient manner. We provide servicing for all current major motorcycles, sell pre-owned motorcycles, and we have the latest parts, accessories, gear, and apparel for all riders. RAM Cycles is also actively involved in bike events, educational seminars, MotorcycleXcitement Track Days, charity events, and community events.
RAM Cycles will be hosting our Spring Open House on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 11 am – 5 pm. The Rain Date will be Saturday, May 21, 2011. This event will showcase RAM Cycles’ newly expanded Service Department and Apparel Store. This event will raise funds to support the relief effort in Japan. On March 11, 2011 a 9.0-magnitude earthquake struck Japan north of Tokyo and resulted in a tsunami, which caused significant damage in coastal towns. Current estimates put the death toll at 10,000 with an additional 17,000 people missing and 240,000 in shelters. The estimated $300 billion in damage from the quake and tsunami makes this the world's costliest natural disaster. Through our Open House, we hope to raise awareness of Japan’s contributions to the motorcycle industry, our livelihood and our passion. You can help people affected by disasters like the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami, as well as countless crises at home and around the world, by making a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Your gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to disasters. Proceeds from the Open House will be donated to the American Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific. This event is open to the public and will have $5.00 charge for those who want to eat and enter into RAM Cycles raffle. Additional Raffle tickets can be bought 3/$10 and participants must be present to win.

DJ Spin, named Pepsi DJ Champion and whose impressive bio includes collaborations with and performances for such names as Redman, Puff Daddy, the NBA, The Grammy’s, Kid Capri, Snoop Dog, and Dee-Lite, will be putting flavor in your ear all day.

We’ve got a full day of activities to enjoy and put RAM $$ in your pocket!! Bring your Sumo skills to RAM’s Open House and show us what you got. Sumo’s TOP man OR woman will receive $50 RAM Cash. Participants must be registered by 12 pm the day of the event. Got smarts? Compete in RAM Cycles Trivia Hour for a chance to win RAM Cash. Teams of four, four rounds, four questions each round, one hint: Think Japan! Moto GP Play Station Style, highest score gets RAM Cash! The Gear Guru, Paris Tato, will be hosting a fashion show with 2011’s latest and greatest gear.

ONE DAY, ALL DAY--Get 15% off your entire purchase of in-stock or special order parts, accessories or apparel, or if you are feeling generous, donate your 15% to the American Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts in Japan. No rain checks, certain restrictions apply.
