Rattle the Runway - August 20, 2007, 10:55 AM

the 5th Annual
Washington Dulles Int’l Airport Ride
Join us for the 5th Annual Commemorative “Rattle The Runway Ride” at Washington Dulles Int’l Airport. This motorcycle ride is in remembrance of all the people whose lives were taken by acts of terrorism on September 11, 2001.

This year staging at the Airport will take place to the rear of the Air & Space Museum. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center will open early for us to tour prior to our departure to the Pentagon for our closing ceremonies.

A pick-up ride will begin staging at Patriot HD in Fairfax at 6:30 am. Departure to the Airport will be at 7:00 am with the last bike out at 7:15 am. We are finalizing staging with Devil Dawg Custom Motorcycles in Chantilly. This information will be posted on our website and their link by August 24th.

Come directly to the Airport and start staging at 8:00 am. From RT 28 take the AIR & SPACE Museum exit. Enter the Airport through GATE # 317/Services entrance. Coffee, water, breakfast food (e.g. donuts, bagels, sandwiches) will be for sale at the Airport staging location.
ALL MOTORCYCLES MUST BE THROUGH GATE #317
NO LATER THAN 9:15 am – LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT ENTER
So mark your calendar, sew on your patch and rockers and we’ll see you there!
RAIN OR SHINE
Patches & Rockers will be on sale at the Airport.
One Patch and ONE rocker - $8.00. Just the Rocker - $4.00
For more information or to order patches contact
Rex Howke, Event Coordinator at www.rattletherunwayride.com

This is a secured area – you must be able to clear Airport Security check points (no knives, guns, etc). All riders must adhere to VA State Vehicle Laws (helmets required). Anyone speeding or breaking formation will be asked to leave with a Police escort. Please help us continue to keep our good relationship with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. This IS a privileged ride for all. Please be aware that MWAA has the authority to cancel this ride at anytime for any reason

I will be there! BTW the ride is on Sept. 9. We should meet at the spot and then ride over as a group like last year!

This ride is a must do for anyone. It is incredible riding around the area and watching those who are either out there to wave and enjoy the show, and those who hate the fact that we get in their way. If you do one group ride every year, this should be it.

Just a shame I won't be able to make it (again) this year. Oh well, I guess I have next year to look forward to.

Wow this sounds really cool. I might be in will know closer to the date. I'm up for meeting at the spot before hand. Unless anyone is heading out of the Bowie area.
