Ride ended sadly with the crash of bons0 (Chris) on Blue Ridge Mountain road .. He survived it but has bad injuries in his knees, ankle .. Ambulance picked him up to Winchester hospital where r6speed and Chris? headed out to .. his injuries were enhanced due to the presense of huge bolders on the side of the road .. He wasnt wearing full leathers but did have a* boots on .. still his ankle wounts were nasty and tore apart the a*s .. He was in huge pain and was consious and talking to us after the crash .. His 1000rr trashed .. Hope you recover soon Chris!

Silver CBR? I saw a rashed CBR and a SP on the side of the road up there when I went by. Glad to hear it wasn't worse. Tell him I said if he needs his bike picked up can probably make arrangements.

Chris, hope you get well soon dood. Sorry to see you go down like that. Not sure what happened, the scrapes tell a strange story.

I was somewhere behind Chris and came up on him first. He is concious, and should pull through ok, but his leg was banged up pretty bad. Looking at the obsticals on the side of the road I think he is lucky it was just his leg. The state trooper that came on site was also a rider and very professional with the group and didn't make any comments about anything and just asked us to help move the bike so the tow truck didnt smash it up more. He said someone died yesterday after hitting a tree and it was good to see him in the ambulance instead of the alternative.

R6 and I followed up at the hospital. X-rays, probably a MRI and the regular anal probe He will be ok, but it will probably be a long recovery ( just speculation based on the look of injuries). His wife showed up and her sister too. Once we gave them the info and chat a little, we scooted.
Heal up quick amigo!

Sorry to head about this, hope he heals up soon - but with this, the whitehurst wreck and the events of last weekend leaves me wonderin WTF is goin on?

Is it just a matter of guys pushin too hard at near the end of the season? Is this how it goes year-to-year (late summer, early fall w/ confidence high after almost a full season behind 'em, guys ride a little too hard)? Just askin...

When you are a new rider, you are mostly relying on luck to survive. You start with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience -- the idea is to fill up the experience bag before the luck bag runs out.

Nah, there are crashes all season long!

Sorry to hear about this, too many crashes. I hope he's okay and heals up quick.
