Shake it Off and Let's Go - 7/12/09 - *Noob* Ride - WV - June 29, 2009, 09:03 AM

RAIN DATE: 7/19/09

*****due to mileage and time - PLEASE only participate if you have the entire day to use. We will be back before dark, but I would rather not have ppl bailing at various stop points and making the ride back alone - if you are uncomfortable with long distances.

*Noob* = no "I just got my bike" - no "i just got my M class, lookin to ride" - you get the picture.
Sorry - I hate doin that, but I'm only doin it because of the distance involved.

Pre-requisites
- Ask yourself:
A) Can I do 300+ miles in a day

If you answer yes - please join
If you answer maybe - think hard about going
If you answer no - catch the next one after you get some seat time

# of ppl will determine meet time...more ppl = earlier we leave.

Maryland - feel free to set up a meet spot ride to the meet spot
DC - the same
NOVA - the same

Final meet spot:
Haymarket Sheetz
9am - too early? go cry in the corner.

LUNCH @ Fox Den Pizza. If we have even a moderate sized group, I will call ahead of time so they know we are coming.

Once there, we will do a noob lap up and down in both directions so everyone can get used to the turns. After that, we will take a pause for the cause and then everyone can ride at whatever pace they like - then we'll rendezvous again prior to rolling out.

RULE #1 for the entire day: RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE I don't mind waiting at all...I'm too chill to rush

....oh yea - this is THE ROUTE 33 Ride

300 miles is nothing.

Take a trip down to Covington.

Ride safe.

Never been dancing at club 33 but my dancing shoes have been itching for an intro class to the club.

In, possibly with a few ppl not on .net. But I won't know if they are going until possibly the thur/fri before.

What do you value more? Life or Image?

"I don't ride, I usually just sit around wearing a tshirt and my icon back protector and talk shit about anyone who does not have a liter bike. That's how you can pick me out of a crowd. I also wear a red tophat."

For safety reasons on that road your best bet would be to run full leathers....

i'm not one to dictate gear - please wear what you feel will provide you the most protection. I won't turn you away if you show up in jeans, but I'd recommend a sturdy jacket and boots at least. You'll see ppl riding it in jeans.

Once on 33 - after the noob laps for those who have never been - you are more than welcome to ride at your own pace whether it be fast or slow. I'm expecting there to be other motorcyclists enjoying the mountain as always - doing their own thing as well....showing up as a group...riding it individually...then leaving as a group.

I always wear my full leathers on the weekends - this alarmed some at the 211 ride when I pulled up...don't be alarmed....i'm not that serious.

always aim to wear the most/best protection that you own/afford.

If I had full leathers, I'd wear them often. I don't so I'll be in jeans at this party just to learn the steps and routines.
