Thumbs up Try the track for FREE - March 9, 2008, 12:02 AM

Hello all, TEAM PRO-MOTION is having a "try the track" day on sunday march 30, 2008 @ summit points shanendoah circut. It is not a track day...You will get classroom instruction and you will follow, and be followed by instructors who will help critique your riding. You must be there before noon and sign a release to participate, with as much gear as you own preferably, and they will look at your bike to be sure it is safe. No wiring, taping lights, or water replacing the antifreeze...Just a good chance for some of us to try the track and learn some things. Check out their web site and post up if you would like to go! It is from 12 till 2 pm. There will be others racing and testing their bikes so if we go early we can watch and talk to racers in the pits.

Wow, if this is for real, I'm in. However, I won't get my hopes up because I suspect that this will attract enough interest to turn it into a giant CF.

Sounds like fun but there is a reason CCS will not run a race there. I haven't ever been on that track but if a 17 year veteran hate's the track I am kinda not wanting to do this but dam free is free people. Can I run my Sikk 125? Maybe the ZRX.

CCS, WERA, NESBA,SST. I will never ride it in its current condition. Too many walls, not enough run off and that loop is a joke. Add in a bunch of new track riders...just protect your neck and don't ride to the event.

THIS WILL NOT BE A RACE!!!!! IT IS A PARADE LAP AT FIRST THEN SLIGHTLY SPIRITED... They will attempt to show how nice it is to ride on a track as opposed to the street, and it is an attempt to promote A.R.T (Advanced Rider Traning School) which they run. It will be fun and FREE. You must be there by 1130 am and register in person for "try the track" on the 30th.

Do people ride their bikes to the circuit or is it extremely important to have a trailer?
Why dont we ride and hit some back roads while going there

That sounds like a good plan. Incorporate an hour on the track into a half or whole day ride.

Maybe not the best choice of tracks for a noob intro, but it will be relatively slow follow the leader stuff. I think this is a great marketing idea.
