Twisties around here? - September 8, 2008, 10:18 PM

Is anyone planning on riding the twisties this weekend? Hopefully my tires will come in soon and I'd like to go scrub them in. I'm cool with most paces, just not the noob stuff, BORING, lol! A couple of guys were talking about a place called 211. Is this a street name or slang?

211 is a pretty nice road out by Shenandoah that the cops watch closely now because a lot of people have died in crashes there. It's in Virginia and I think last I heard the speed limit was reduced to 30 or 35 so this means that you get caught doing 20 over on it and it'll be a reckless driving charge.

Hang around, get to know people, join some posted rides. You'll end up on good roads.

211 = fun

it also falls into this equation

211 = ticket
ticket = -fun

211 = fun - fun = fail

best places are Summit Point, WV or VIR

I'd say CMP but it's a bit of a drive...anything else well...that's just boring mostly because of the cops, debris, guardrails, etc...etc...

Your logic is irrefutable.

Actually that's what's exciting about it.

Every time we hold our tongues instead of returning the sharp retort, show patience with another's faults, show a little more love and kindness, we are helping to stock-pile more of these peace-bringing qualities in the world instead of armaments for war. -- Constance Foster

Its a nice place to ride but its dangerous...The mountain is non forgiving..and so aer the guardrails. Its easy tp misjudge. If you and your bike arent 100% legit, dont go! I strongly suggest ou go with someone who has been there..RESPECT THAT ROAD MY FRIEND - If you dont..You WILL FAIL!!
