TWT at Carpool....Who got hit after leaving...I DID!!!!! - May 13, 2009, 08:45 AM

So I leave Carpool in Herndon, ride right up the street to make a left turn on Van Buren St and I am at the light, turn signal on and waiting (light was green)..so I have rolled up a little but waiting on cars to past and WHAM!!!!! Get hit in the damn back!! So after looking over everything and contacting police, only thing I see is that my tag was bent. Therefore she had to push my back tire up towards the front of the bike b/c the tag sits behind the tire a little. So now what. Police exchange our info and go on their way. So I am thinking....I should at least go get my bike inspected fully and checked over due to the force of the hit b/c it could have messed up something up front.

What you all think???

****Also I had just got it inspection ready so I could get my VA tags and all. Just move here in January***8

I thought about Colemans but I think I may take it to Colgans in Manassas. I been going there for everything lately. Thanks for the responses. I will probably take it to get checked today and get a estmate

Def have it check out...swing arm while looking fine could be tweeked and cause issues down the line (running dog leg) or worst start to crack...rim could be bent also....

Just make sure who ever checks it out do a good job so that 6 months from now you have issues and have to dig out of your pocket because it is too late to claim it on her insurance.

Im surprised the police didnt give her a ticket for that...
