I'd be interested, but that's a bit far out there for me to meet that early! What's the planned route and duration?

Last time I rode with them I did 598 miles roundtrip from Frederick. It was a 12+ hour ride.

Make sure you're wearing full leathers...just sayin

Anything east of 81 is a pain to loop and swarmed with VSP. That's the reason it's farther out plus the roads are better with little to no traffic. The pace is advanced track day to racer speed. We'll be heading down to Lexington via all the great roads and loop back.

Yeah, that's a lot longer and more intense than I want to do right now. Plus I'm worried about the weather this weekend. I'd definitely be interested another time though. Have a blast and tell us about the ride after you're done!

It's worth the trip out! It is a long ride but doesn't "feel" as long as slower rides, since you're constantly engaged and there is no cruising.

Yeah I hear ya. On my first Deal's Gap trip we did three 500+ mile days in a row at a blistering pace (and less than 100 on the interstate), and I was still good for more miles at the end of day! I'm just easing back into it now though and ready for that kind of endurance yet . . . I think!
