This is odd as hell....

We hung out (non bikes) and bikes. He hit me up 3 to 4 days before he shot himself. Told me he was just talking to Hyatt and wanted to come down and hang out. I said cool. He was going to come down in June.

Told me about his job...why he moved to Conn (guns) and said he was loving life...garage full of race bikes.

The last text I got from him was that thursday.
Even text me pics of his chick (pretty damn hot)....

So this is odd...seemed like shit was going well.

He did tell me that he moved to Conn because of NY strict gun law and that he "Makes sure" people get to court.

damn dude.

He was a great guy.

I remember just prior to him leaving for Law School he was working for Prudential. I met him in Bethesda for a business lunch ... it turned out we had some of the same friends (non-M/C related) and didn't even know it.

That lunch ended up going on for hours, and then somehow we ended up back at his office and it turned into a quasi interview with his boss. I think I almost landed a job that day and didn't even know it.

He was uber excited when he was accepted to Law School a few years ago. Looking forward to leaving Insurance and opening a new chapter in his life.

I clicked the story link expecting to read about a traffic accident, but this is a total left field tragedy. I hope someone can lend more clarity or an explanation.

At least you only got the bike insurance pitch. He was trying to sell me on the entire suite: Car, Home, Bike, Business, Key-Man Policy, etc.

Eat a gun while driving and crash your car. Nothing about this makes sense.

I almost want to say something is sorta fishy......
All I have to go on is:

His Girl is Bat shit crazy
He kept allot of guns because he....Help people get to court....
and he left NY because of the Gun laws...

Why ask me about hanging out when he comes to DC in may/june then shoot yourself few days later.

VON I'm SO GLAD you brought this up. I didn't want to be the only one thinking this... I hate to be one of those "conspiracy" people especially on the heels of something this tragic, but for those of you who knew Abe this was NOT at all like him. He was very thoughtful, fun loving, intelligent and loyal. This seems to be very out of character for him. Over the past 10 years, We've ridden together and when he got out of insurance and started going to school in NY, he'd text me and we'd make time to grab burgers and catch up when he was in town.

Von, are you aware of the circumstances surrounding his CCW permit in CT? I know that he challenged the local pd department when they tried to force him to provide additional documentation without warrant. Abe, being an attorney and someone who didn't believe in police bullying said no. I'm not sure if he ever wrote a letter or just verbally challenged the chief on attempting to add to the legal requirements for his CCW, but from what he told me it was a small town run by the police where "everybody knew everybody."

When I read that the police were the ones who found the car and he was shot in the head it really makes me wonder what else happened.

Yeah he told me about the CCW, but did not tell me about the po-po problems....

But like stated..
It made no sense at all....
they say you can never tell when someone is depressed...
He never struck me as the type because of things going on and pretty good.
Plus he had plans...

Put aside that this sounds out of character for him for a moment.

Depressed or not depressed, when as anyone ever heard about someone committing suicide via gunshot while driving?

That fact alone should raise suspicions.

It happened last May in Anne Arundel County.

Yes, but there were witnesses to that incident.

I know I have meet Abe before, I just can't put my finger on when and where. Either way this is just a very sad tragedy to hear about. RIP
