Looking for a closer SPOT-ternative? - March 28, 2007, 10:15 AM

Here's the deal... I was reading Guzzlers post about WARP... and was wondering if anyone would be interested in putting together a local meeting place up for the people who aren't ALL the way down in VA... but not all the way up in Westminster either...
for example, we could do our meets at Hooters in Laurel... or Cricketts Bar and Grill...
Whatever, just curious to see who would be willing to meet up in the Anne Arundel Area...

Pick a spot and post it. They will come.

Half the dudes on here are all 66'ers, 267'ers and 95'ers. This is a good idea, I wish there would be GTG's in the falls church, arlington area. Opinions?

Thats all you have to do. Post up a time and place (Keep it the same time and day going forward) and people will show up. Just post up a reminder and see the bikes show up. Its up to you to make it happen.

I know last year and the year before .COM has a meeting spot for wings then to a bar on wed nights... a few .netters were there also as a lot of us have accounts on both sites. That was in Laurel and then went to Cancoon Cantenia (sp?).. was some crazy fun times

also there was at one point a "Boonies and Creme" meet at the mall in Columbia, MD for Stone cold ice creme that was also a lot of fun.

I know last thurs a couple of the alexandria/ arlington/ springfield guys met in old town alexandria, and several folks responded that they could do that in the future, especially when the weather did not seem too great for the long ride to the spot.

Lemme find the thread and bump it, it may be a good alternative if the temp will drop tomorrow nite.

Isn't the alternative to "the Spot" on Tuesdays? TWTs? When are we starting that up again? This is where we pick a spot, usually within the beltway and occasionally go into Fairfax City, have dinner and drinks, basically your simple social gathering.
