Well Gang it seems that Fast Eddies is doing thier Halloween party on Halloween night, which is a Tuesday and clearly does not work for many people considering how we like to get down then have to play adult the next morning. So after considering our options of what the DC Metro area has to offer, Rob and I have finally made a decision that should cater to everyone. So this year we are headed to....

Halloween Monster Bash at the Clarendon Ballroom

- Biggest Halloween Party In DC for 14 years running
- Biggest costume contest for 14 years running
$200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd, $50 for 3rd, & most original
- Mr. Greengenes!
- DJ Pat Premier spinning in the basement
- Scary Party Favors


Doors open at 7 PM HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ARRIVE BY 8pm. MANY OF US ARE ARRVING AT 8 TO BEAT THE CROWD. THIS EVENT DOES SELL OUT AND YOU WILL STAND IN LINE FOR HOURS WAITING TO GET IN! ONE PERSON LEAVES ONE PERSON IN TYPE DEAL.


Entry starts at $10. Will go up to $20 later.

So post up if you plan to attend....time and meet up spot within the venue to be determined.

Parking information below

From the Metro:
Take Orange line to Clarendon. At the top of the escalator, take a "u-turn" and walk to the west 100 yards through Clarendon Park (in the median between Wilson & Clarendon Blvds). We're across from the war monument.

From Route 66 going towards DC:
Exit at Glebe Rd / Ballston. Exit ramp turns into N. Fairfax Dr. Travel about 1 mile, then take a left on Wilson Blvd. We're at the next light at the intersection of Wilson and Washington Blvds on the left side.

Coming from Route 395, traveling either north or south:
Exit at Washington Blvd and head west. Travel approximately 2 miles to stoplight at Wilson Blvd - We're at the intersection on Wilson (look a bit to your right, beyond the monument).

Coming from DC:
Take Roosevelt Bridge towards Va. and IMMEDIATELY after the bridge exit on route 50 west (lazy right NOT hard right exit). Travel approximately 1 mile and take right exit on 10th Street, then turn right at second light on Washington Blvd. Go 2-3 blocks to stoplight at Wilson Blvd - We're at the intersection on Wilson (look a bit to your right, beyond the monument).

Parking alternatives:
Parking can be tricky, you may want to take the metro or a cab.
There is a new, 400 space public parking lot under Arlington's Department of Human Services Building at the intersection of Highland and Wilson (near metro stop, two blocks to the east of Clarendon Ballroom). Enter the lot from the Highland St. entrance. Hours as of 1/1/01 are M-F from 5:30pm until 2:30am, Sat & Sun from 10am to 2:30am.
Pay lot at Highland and Wilson (surface parking, across from DHS building) - pretty sure its still $2. Other than that, there is street parking (and please, please don't park in the neighborhoods).
