Sal's Write-Up Thread - February 12, 2016, 10:04 PM

Besides riding my GS and leaving you squids in the corners...

I enjoy writing.

Started creating write-ups of events during my time with College Park Tuning at the University of Maryland. Found it fun and people thought they were entertaining to read. So decided to create my own blog!

As stated in my intro thread ("Allow me to introduce myself..."), I used to be a huge car enthusiast. So many of the write-ups covered cruises, meets, etc.

But now owning a motorcycle I'm very eager to document the travels and rides I share with others. It's more memorable and emotional to be on two wheels.

I'll be sharing any latest write-ups for all to read, cry, criticize, and enjoy.

Here's one for starters. Antietam ride last month:

Thanks!

Looks like you are having a good time and enjoying the bike. Come on spring!

There used to be a frequent visitor of the board, I'm banking on his screen name right now (Bimota logo avatar, tons of bikes, runs a carpentry and fine woodwork restoration business).

He would write long, detailed, illustrative prose about his rides and meanderings. Would
Include pictures here and there. They were entertaining reads.

I wonder where he's been. You two would probably enjoyed documenting and journaling your travels together.

Certainly a blast. I've saved the map you shared with me of the huge VA/WV loop. Looking to do that once the weather permits it.

Really? Would be very cool if he resurfaces online. Always looking to improve my grammar and style by reading other people's work.

Yep. That's him.

Sal, search his name in the Ride Report section of the board and you should come across some of his other posts.

I just bumped a handful of his old posts and stories for decreasing radius.

Check the New Post section to get the most direct links since they're scattered in different sub forums or just search the term "Bump for Sal"

Thanks for being considerate Heist!

I just finished reading the threads you bumped. Very impressed by it. He easily draws you into the story and narrates it well to keep your attention.

"The ties that bind us" is excellent. Deep reflection through poetry.

"Trying to push the river" sells a sober point through a good story. It's futile to lash out towards at-fault drivers. His friend being frank with him really sends the message.
