8/23 Noob Ride - Front Royal - August 23, 2008, 01:29 PM

Mrs. Shoo & I just got home and want to say it was a pleasure meeting more people here. The ride itself was a great pace for the group's experience level (especially me since it was the longest 2 up ride I've taken). The roads were for the most part pretty good, traffic was at a minimal and the weather couldn't have been better.

Great idea on Mom's Country Kitchen for lunch. Those ladies working there were quite accommodating and very nice.

We hope the ride after lunch went just as smooth as the morning part and hope everyone got home safe.

A special recognition should also go out to Taty (Scott) and Toad (Todd). You guys planned an excellent route and you put lots of thought into the day. Todd, thanks for stopping on the side of the road those few times to warn everyone of the trouble spots we would be coming up on. Your efforts probably saved one of us from exceeding our abilities. Again, Mrs. Shoo & I thank you both.

See y'all next time.

Oh, and is it Eric? that came on the Triumph? Post those pics you took, dude!

WOO HOO, what a great ride!!! It was so nice to meet every one of you, to bad i wont remember names, but i will recognize ya.
dont take it personally. it comes from my youth.

anyways, i know they wont be reading this, but special thanks to Moms for being so accomidating. I highly recomend this place to everyone. good food, in and out in an hour. even with 20 people. weather was great, roads were for the most part great.

Being that this was my first noob ride, and def my biggest ride, i was very stressed. everyone rode a great ride! noone had anthing to try to prove, just went out and rode like we were mature adults. imagine that. i just wanted to thank each and everyone of you for such a great ride today!! i will gladly ride with all of you again without hesitation. except for FlyinTroll, dude you stink. just kiddin man.

Special Thakns to Toadmeister for helping me get the ride together, and for helping me lead group 2.

thanks to StinkyCBR600 for sweeping, although you did bail after lunch, but i dont blame you.

thanks to Loosetooth for sweeping. it was nice to meet you man, now we need to go on a faster ride

and last but not least thanks to tornado675 for sweepin on the way home.

great ride today guys!!!!

Great ride today, guys. Scott and I were bith stressing this a little, we just didn't want any incidents.

I hope the pace was okay, it felt a little slow but I didn't want the newer riders to feel pressured to keep up, and I was trying to keep the group together. My main concern today was that everyone made it back in one piece.

All in all things went according to plan (except for me turning too early on Hume!)...oops.

It was nice meeting and riding with all of you. Thanks again to Taty for putting this all together and thank you Loosetooth for sweeping the "B" group.

And a special thanks to my brother for not crashing my bike! LOL

We'll have to do another one soon...

Oh, Erik was taking pics with my camera...I'll download them and post a link up in a little while.
