Angry (and stupid) cager - June 2, 2008, 03:27 PM

So i was on my way home from work today (taking 66 from DC all the way to 50 in ffx). Anyway, as i was passing the on ramp (in the left lane) from glebe rd, or fairfax drive or whatever and this older guy driving an accord (VA license plate KMK-5050) made an overly aggressive lane change right into my lane coming close to clipping me. I merely shook my head. Kept a pretty long following distance, for safety reasons and so i dont have to stop every 3 seconds. Anyway, traffic picks up as it usually does as we approach rt. 7 and he's still in front of me.

We both are passing other cars going about 70mph and i stay behind him not making any moves to pass.....until we reach 495 and i move left to the HOV lane. Right as i'm about to go by him, he jerks into my lane blocking me and again nearly causing a wreck. He's also a solo driver and shouldn't be in the HOV at that time.

We cruise along for about 1.5 miles till he finally moves back one lane to the right. I pull up and simply look at him and shake my head from side to side. He rolls down his window and starts shouting something at me. No clue what he was trying to say, but i think it was pretty clear he hates sport bikes in general....yea one of "those" people.

Since we're only going about 15-20 mph, I lift up my visor and yell rather loud, in hopes he can hear me, that "YOU ARE AN IDIOTIC AND DANGEROUS DRIVER AND YOU DON'T EVEN BELONG IN THIS LANE!" (while pointing to my lane.) He kept yelling something but i just closed my visor and passed him cause his lane was starting slow. He was only 20 or so feet behind me and we passed under an overpass with a huge HOV ONLY sign, and I made sure to point it out as well.

I'm sure he's seen other sport bike riders around and simply tried to take things into his own hands. I wanted so bad to punch his mirror (not that i actually ever would) but i wanted to. It took a lot to not go tearing off, as i simply closed my visor and kept flowing with traffic. Made it home safe, but boy did he piss me off!

If anyone sees a light tan/silverish 4-door Accord with VA plates KMK-5050 with an older guy with a white beard behind the wheel...be careful, he might try and take you out!

Glad to hear you made it home unscathed and good job keeping your cool. I wonder if you have any grounds to report him (both for his erratic driving and HOV violation) since you have his plate number.

I have had similar incidents. Almost tempted to get one of those change dispensers and slap in on my gas tank, fill it with pennies...

LOL dude been there done that so many times in my 25 or so years of riding I could write a book on how many times this exact thing has happened to me. For what ever idiotic reason they think it's your fault for everything including being in the same spot they want to be in. Fackers bikers I tell yeah they got some nerve. lol
Well these same cuunts take off like little girls when they see me running up to their door. LOL
Learn to let it go though, you'll live longer.

ahhahahahahahahahahah!

that guy is a dick! I've had several encounters with him, he drives a tan accord, not silver. I ran into his dumbass while I was in my cage once, I did everything in my power to dick him with every futile lane change he made to get buy. He was so pissed by the time he managed to get by me he had to have been doing a good 90 ~ 100 mph. The funniest part of that particular encounter was the time I had him pinned behind me with a hummer to our right, he could have slowed down and passed by us both in the far right lane but insted he rode my ass... so I slowed down... and slowed down... and SLAMMED the brakes. Then whilst disabling the ATCS in my car proceeded to stomp the gas and pull off ever so quickly. He made a few dirty passed and dicked a few people to eventually catch up... at which point I proceeded to get in front of him again.

Good point/question. I can't imagine any citations being written, but would it be worth it to report just because? Who knows, maybe lots of others have done the same, and they've heard of this guy/tag number before.

Locate the door handle, now figure about one foot forward and one foot down. There is usually a good soft spot in the door there and a good kick will leave a helluva dent. Not encouraging anyone to do this, but just figured you trivia buffs would get a kick out of it.

OVER? did you say "Over"? Nothing is over until we decide its over, was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell No!!!

sk8anksta....I blame you for wasting your precious energy in yelling and shouting at the idiot.... a simple expression of your 'middle finger' would have saved you all the painful hassle and screaming..........

tjamseman28....not my style man. i don't think that acting back violently or in a mannor intended to piss someone off helps any situation. this dude clearly already had it out for riders, and while i understand how denting his door or "keeping up foreign relations" might be satisfying, it only puts the next rider in more danger. just my opinion...of course everyone is entitled to their own.

think i'm gonna call ffx police later on, and simply report the incident. who knows, maybe others have done the same, and justice will eventually be served.
