Eff Winter!!!! - December 30, 2007, 04:44 PM

Put new Raceline springs on the DRZ and tuned the suspension a bit this morning, so I decided to go for a spin.... Got in about 100 miles before it started sprinkling... Went down hill from there!!! I was west of Front Royal went it started getting ugly... Put the bike down once on a dirt road, and decided that I'd tempted fate enough today... Tiptoed the bike home to Manassas and parked it... Damage was a couple tears in the plastics, small dent in the tank.... I got away pretty lucky, just a scuff on the jacket, and a little sore... Tuck and roll!!!!!

Do you buy a condom to look at it? No you buy it to fuck.

Good to hear you're ok...funny thing with the DRZ is that you'll break before the bike does

Seems like each time I do my dirt training "when" I crash I end up rolling and the bike doesn't even stop running

DRZ =

Glad to hear you're OK Dan. How's the DRZ working for you?

Reposting this from an earlier e-mail on the MADDuc list...

And Devious....you in for a hare scramble next sunday?

-----------------------------------------------------

BAH! I rode about 25 miles at The Cove outside of Winchester yesterday with several friends. (6 riders in total.) Let's see....1 collision at 9/10's of a mile....whoopsie. Yeah....I ran over a buddy. That started the tone for the day.

Yes we were dirtriding. So wrecks are expected. I think I binned it maybe half a dozen times. Once flipped over the bars onto the rocks/boulders below on the steep hill. Once over the bars to land flat on my back cross-wise on a log. Once was for no reason. I was riding forward...next thing ya know I'm faceplanting in the mud. Hmpf!! Overall a great day!!!!

And the newbie on the brand new crf250X was Marlon Boxe. He did great. His best wreck was going uphill, got out of control on some rocks. Somehow he was able to launch the bike 2 to 3 feet in the air, 180 degrees reversed, and sideways. Through all of that he endedup with a perfect dismount and landed on his feet. I think most of us saw the feat and just started applauding.

And yes....today I am hurting. Not sure about my hand..sprained or fractured. Oh well. Hangover Hare Scramble anyone? Next weekend in Romney WV....30 miles past Winchester. Gawd I love throttle therapy!!!
