Good day for a ride - December 29, 2007, 05:19 PM

Got the oil & filter changed on the ninja and then took it out for a nice ride from Gaithersburg up to New Market and around here and there. Despite the occassional damp pavement it was a great afternoon for a ride but I swear, the freaking cagers were driving worse and more aggressively than ever. I had four close calls, at least, and was delighted to get out of town. Also passed some dudes in Germantown heading south on 121/Clopper road at about 3:45 pm. Anyone on here?

Glad to see you made it out, I take it that the ninja is back together. I wasn’t able to make it up to Frederick as I was down at the townhouse in Chesapeake Beach but I also did go out for about 3 hours this morning. It was a good winter day for a ride (minus some of the damp roads).

Yup, the ninja is back, baby. Sans decals now, except for the tank since that's all clear coated over. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, overall. Cost me my discretionary funds for the time being though. Next time I clean it up, I'll snap a couple photos to post. Couldn't do it today because the focus was on maintenance and riding, not appearance. I didn't dare post any photos that Vega and Interceptor wouldn't approve of in terms of detailing.

Monday, December 31st, Mostly sunny, high 44 F. I'm thinking it's a good day for some winter riding action.

This morning was another good day for a ride, and I got in 3 hours before the rain came down.

Charlie, here's the bike after the repairs:
