REDDISH KNOB - July 22, 2007, 10:34 AM

Yesterday we had about 5 hours to ride. I had know idea where to go. In t he Interest of time and going someplace different we jumped on 81 south to MT Jackson.

I was feeling rather special cause my bike was washed for the first time since April.

From Mt Jackson we rode out 42 to 613. My original plan was just to ride the loop around 33, 220, 3, 55, 608. While on 613 I decieded to go up to Reddish Knob instead. We had to stop to use the head so I found Reddish knob on the GPS and pushed goto. That is where the fun starts.

The GPS took us across 33 to a right on a 700 that started out paved. I knew that would change we kept going.

Even cows like bikes.

A mile later back on pavement only to be directed to another dirt road this one we did not use. 924 was just tarred and chipped slow was the ride up which really sucks.

I turned up the 2 paved 2 track that take you to the top. Kim was not to please about riding such a narrow road on the side of a mountain.

From the top.

We used a lot more time than I had expected to get up and down the mountain. Because I had to be home to recieve my children we covered 102 miles in 90 minutes to get home.

THE END

Reddish knob has amazing views. roads up are nice, but blind gravel and narrow full of absent minded drivers on their way down.

True, but from the pics of those roads 68 MPH is still impressive.
