RRonin flashback today - January 22, 2008, 06:00 PM

So Im riding over to the store for some food. Happily tooling down Vint Hill road towrds 28 when a turky buzzard sails accrss the road about 10 feet in front os me. Scared the piss out of me.

The flashback was from a ride with Tony while ago where he and I had to duck under one out west. At least we saw that one coming

I did actually remember to ask Tony about the turkey buzzard out by Marriott Ranch. Of all the airborne objects to collide with, that's gotta be one of the worst. Claws and carion, mmmmm.

I don't know. It may be bigger, but a hummingbird that had just drank its fill of red sugar water hitting your visor going 80 MPH on Hunt Valley Road with nowhere to stop can be pretty tramatic

Getting stung in eyelid was no fun either. At least I could still see out of my watery right eye.

I remember that ride, or perhaps it was a different ride with the same occurance... I don't remember

I just remember a right hand turn where a huge bird swooped down and fly above a bunch of us for a little while. Where's spring!

I had a grouse fly out of the median on 70 and almost take my head off. That was pretty fun.
