Stuck in traffic this morning - June 30, 2008, 02:16 PM

I had a pleasant ride in this morning, in spite of getting caught in miserable stopped traffic on the '95 HOVs. Why didn't it suck rocks? Because I had company.

A rider in blue on a blue patriotically painted R6 was behind me when we got stuck, so we chatted for about 20 minutes while crawling through stop-and-go traffic up the interstate. I told him about this site, of course.

It got me feeling somewhat poetic about the community that rides, especially the sportbike community. We're here for each other, and I'm grateful to .net for helping us find each other and strengthening that bond.

+1 - what a good post Sara, especially in light of all the bickering going on recently - there's good and bad with all communities I suppose.

That was exactly what I was saying. It is good that sportbikers, when given the circumstance can chat. I think it is also pretty cool that Kat thinks enough of this forum to pass it along. There are a lot of good people here and a ton of information to be had.

Yes, Hokie, it was an R6. You heard it from the guy riding it! Welcome to the board, Mike!
