Today's ride - September 25, 2007, 07:34 PM

I rided. I tooked pictures. Ima share them. This is a cross post from CF so no crying.

Kelly's Ford after what seemed like 10 miles of dirt roads.

Some roads and bridges were barely 1.5 Scots wide.

I also know where WTF gates 1 and 3 are.

Slate mills is a nasty nasty road. It's jammed packed with 15 mile an hour turns and even has a loopty doo.

The barn up on the hill. You can't really get a good feeling for just how small these roads are or how twisty. It's crazy.

Etlan Va. Pop: 4

I'm 99% sure this is Graves Mtn

You can't really see it..but this road had tons of turns with huge drop offs, no guard rails and several 100s of feet to fall.

My failed attempt to show that

This is the BIGGEST tree I have ever seen..just kidding, they're tiny horses.

Some dudes driveway. How cool is that? I was lost.

leaving Elkton. I'd vote for him.

Rocks...water...yawn

Just proving it's not a scanned postcard

Main St in LOOray. Banging coffee joint. It's smack dab in the middle of rednecks and something slightly worse than rednecks....and theys got all kinds of fancy drinks.

My ass is killing me. My bike seat is wafer thin and I wore underpants lined with Sawzall blades. 270ish miles.

SUCK IT

Awesome pictures but isnt it kind of dangerous to ride on roads so narrow/without yellow lines .. I feel like jumping on that lake/pond .. nice report.

Nice write up and pics.

Nice thing about unmarked roads is that it's legal to pass.

As usual I laugh out loud when it comes to your wit and humor. "1.5 Scots wide"

Looks like an awesome ride....when we going? *nudge nudge*

My revolving bike fund was seized and the assetts were frozen. My wife has declared war on bike purchasing and I'm in the process of learning how to grow poppies. I had a good run though. I might try and sneak a used Vmax into the garage. Or a new one if the re-do is as nice as it appears to be.

Funny!

I some of the best damn roads in the area. I could ride 600's and 700's forever with an occasional 800 thrown in for funny.

May I recommend the Dunlop D616 for your adventures in gravel roading. :0

+1. Looks like it was a nice ride.

+2. Reminds me of the Alpine Loop in the Rocky Mountains, but seemingly without cars.

BTW, great report!
