UNO, DOS, TRES... OK SOME CUATROS... - June 9, 2008, 11:40 AM

No cam mount, too humid for that. Tankbag & cooler instead.

1 SV and 3 inlines showed up at C'ville bucks. Promptly left at 8am and slabbed it up to official meet spot, now 915.

1 900ss
1 Concours
2 KTMs, I think 1 was a 690 and the other a 620?
1 kawasaki - dat was shweet lookin
1 DRZ - you couldn't tell but she was hooked up minus a pipe to keep things quieter.
1 GS500
JTB showed up for part of the ride with a DRZ also

1st, I'd like to say, GLAD to see some OGs and nice to meet new folks. Everyone was friendly and the ride was OFF DA HOOK.

Can't say what roads we were on cuz it was one AFTER another after another of backroads.

The Va folks rode cautiously, so we were slow...

WE ALL SUFFERED THRU HAGERSTOWNE... reminds me of Frederick's downtown historic city... Some cool sights to see BUT we just wanted TO GET DA HELL OUTTA THERE!

I like my tires inflated so no routes will be given out. This was well worth the slabbing, gravel roads <---more on that later, and humid heat.

I was up at 645 and asleep at 2230, had to watch 250 and premiere GP races.

Logged in almost 700 miles, I might be off a little, reset after each fuel stop.

1 sore and very swollen foot/ankle that hampered me 1/2 thru the ride BUT I was riding cautiously as I've never seen these roads before. There were some serious elevation changes requiring "USE REDUCED GEARING" signs with 10 mph switchbacks

only 2 pics to post... why? cuz we were ridin... sorry can't resize here and this was from my phone.

ohhh, 2 took a dip in the creek to cool off... definitely cooler and less humid there. The gravel road to get there wasn't tooooo bad for a streetbike... ok, part of it was BAD but me not being able to reach for the rear brake (ankle/foot issue) made it that much WORSE, thought I was going down using just the front.

P.S. for those that didn't show from Va.... SUCKAS

What a great ride!

Catching a dip in the stream was great! Brought my core temp right down. Kudos for being out there on such a hot day with a sore ankle. Having both issues working on you musta been a drain.

Hopefully next time I'll be able to bring the DR-Z. I knew the heat would trash the new 50/50 tire I have on the rear and I didn't have a street tire on hand to put on it. The Concours wasn't too hot with all the extra plastic stripped off though. I got pretty good air flow.

I have some new favorite roads... Not to mention I can get to most of em without the slab and they were NOT crowded....

I will be hitting these roads OFTEN - the route ROCKS!!!!!!
