Any good shops?? - May 20, 2009, 11:49 PM

in the woodbridge area? cant seem to figure it out what the battery/alternator issue is with my bike and want to get it fixed before this weekend if possible...any help would be greatly appreciated

its a maintence free battery...like as soon as i changed the battery it was fine..rode for maybe 30 minutes to an hour then shut it off and wouldnt start back up...my bike has around 19000 thousand miles so im thinking its the alternator but i dunno...

then when i turn it on all lights come on...fuel primes, then i try to start it, it trys to start, then i try to start it again and all the lights slowly dim out

yea...sounds like it. You can check the output on the stator yourself and that'll tell you - or you can take it to a shop. Electrical diagnostics run around $120 or so...

Listen to this man... Sounds like your having the same problems he had...

Lets just hope it doesn't take a year for you to fix it.

There is motorcycle factory in woodbridge and colemans. I have no experience with either shops service dept though.

Had a GSXR 750 with a charging issue today. Bad stator, cost him 99 dollars for figuring out his problem and fixing it. That didn't include the price of the part just labor. Point is that charging problems are easy to figure out and even easier to fix.

We normally will diagnose charging problems for 30.00. Charging issues are so easy to troubleshoot most of the time. 30 bucks is our mininum charge.



Other electrical issues we have to charge a little something because some of them will run you in circles
