Question Battery suggestions - August 28, 2007, 06:59 AM

Well, my battery decided to die on me so I am looking for a replacement.

Bought one from advance Auto and it appeared to fit so I added the acid went to drop the battery in and the damn thing is about 1/2" too tall. $60 wasted!

So, do I shell out the $$$ and get the OEM battery

Or save some $$$ and get the replacement knock off?

Thanks for the help.

Yusa makes great batteries. I think I have an Interstate in my bike now that I have had for about 4 years now. Starts every time. Aren't ther only 2 battery factories left? Do you use a Battery Tender?

My main concern is getting another battery that is too tall.

Yes I use a tender. This battery is old and is on it's last leg. It occasionally dies after riding, and it is happening more often so I want to replace it.

Is the Yusa worth $120?

Batteries plus has decent units as well. Usually about $50 bucks for a YTB-12BS.
