Any of you govt people have any tips on where to place your DOD stickers (both cruisers and sportbikes)?

I put mine on the black plastic part of the front fork down by the wheel. It depends on what base you are on too. They get real anal about placement and having the right sticker for that base. I've always seen them on forks, the swingarm too.

Honestly, should ask the MP when you get it where the base regulations state the sticker is to be placed.

no need to cause any problems rolling through the gate

On Bases in MD, VA, NC, SC, WV, PA, FL sticker just needs to be in a High visble Area, i.e front left fork, windscreen ect. Also if you have a specific base sticker like certain bases have that should be placed in the smae spot with the DOD sticker. Indian Head, Pax River, Quantico, and Norfolk are pritty strick.

When I was stationed at Quantico, I had it on the left front fork.

I found when I was stationed at Quantico and traveled to the surrounding bases that as long as you can point it out to the MP/civilian security where the sticker is at and is current then you won't have no problems. Most bases these days want to see your Military ID even if you have a current DoD sticker.

I work at a govt building that is gated but they only ask for my ID. However when I cage it, they do look for my DOD sticker. I'm not sure if its like that on military bases as well.

I had mine on my windshield for a good while. when I had to renew it the old one scraped off in small pieces but did no damage to the windshield. Put the new sticker right where the old one was....
