F4i fuel guage problem - September 28, 2006, 05:54 PM

Riding last week I noticed the gas guage on my 04 Honda CBR 600 F4i
had gone from 4 bars a little over half a tank to flashing from 4 bars to
2 bars back and forth. Then started flashing on and off. Now when you turn the key
you can see the gas guage flash up on the lcd as it goes through it's checksum
and then it's gone. No indication at all. I've checked fuses, wire chafes and all
of the obvious. Anyone had this problem before with a like bike or any ideas
what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

There's a fuel pump/reserve sensor under the tank itself, could be going south on you. If you need the manual, you can get it in pdf here:
