LED tail light..... - January 4, 2009, 01:52 PM

I was wondering if I can make the brake LED tail light blinking left or right in case i wanted to make a right or left turn? Or do i have to order a new integrated turn signals?

Anything is possible, if you want to spend the time and effort on it. However, to be legal your blinker has to blink amber, not red. There are online sources for integrated LED tail lights for around $100. IMO, it's much easier to drop coins and a few dollar bills into a jar each week to save for the plug-n-play light than to try a DIY job on something like that. If you buy one and want a hand installing it, just shoot me a pm since I live nearby in Silver Spring. It's a cinch.

Not sure about MD, but here in VA that won't make you any more legal. For the commonwealth: you must have all original DOT signals. OR, you can have no signals at all. MC's are not required to have signals at all, but if you do they must be OEM.
I used to disconnect my flash relay before inspection so my taillight wouldn't flash. I had ripped all the others off.
