Rear brake bracket help - July 24, 2012, 06:45 PM

So as most of yall know I've been modding away on my cbr for awhile.... I finally see the light but i'm stuck on a snag and asking for tips....

So the motorcycle is a cbr 600 f4 99

The part i'm having issue with is the swing arm which is off a 06 600rr.

I'm trying to do the mod 1000rr rims on a 600rr swing arm which has been done before by other people...

The axles, bearing are a direct swap and a 600rr axle will fit the 1000rr rear rim. The only modding to do is mill down the 600rr rear brake bracket.

I got the rear bracket back from the machinist earlier today and it fits in the space gap now but its touching the rear rotor a little bit. I looked it up online and they said you have to grind away from the welds on the 600rr swing arm which I believe I cleared but its still touching on the rotor...

any tips on were to grind next???

after this is on correctly and smoothly bike finish and watch out track days... I'm going to work on it all night if I have to

I nean standing here looking at it it o most seems that I need to put a washer between the spacer and the brake bracket to make it move away from the rotor. Does that make any sense?

after that you should be good to go.
