Thumbs down Spin Doctor Citrus Degreaser -- Don't bother - September 4, 2008, 09:27 AM

I had a very effective citrus-based degreaser I ordered a long time ago from a bicycle supply house. I ran out so I figured I would try what the local shop had in stock:

BOOOO!!! THIS STUFF SUCKS!
409 does a better job than this crap.

Xenit

http://www.cleanitwithxenit.com/

The most awesome stuff on the planet when it comes to cleaning/degreasing. Used to be able to pick it up at autozone, but haven't seen it there in a few years. If someone wants to go through the trouble of ordering it I'll go halves with you.

I'm pretty sure the stuff I had before was the citrus degreaser from Finish Line. Worked just like they say: will strip a dollar off a lawyer's palm.

Whatever I had, it worked every bit as well as kerosene but with a nice smell and no residue.

Stuff would take grease off the rear rim faster than Paris Hilton takes off her clothes. Faster than Bill Clinton would take off Paris Hilton's clothes.

Add this to the suck list:

Works marginally better than water and that spin doctor crap, but it still sucks. Don't waste your time on it.
