Tires - July 14, 2010, 10:52 PM

I'm looking for the best place to order tires and some place to have them installed.

Be sure to add up all the costs involved. Most shops charge an additional fee ($20 or more per tire) to M/B if you don't buy them there. Then you have to pay shipping as well. So a $150 tire from xyz.com could end up costing you more than if you just went to your local shop. I like to keep my $$$ local if I can, and I found that Manassas Honda/ Kawasaki has pretty good prices. Their price for my tires is $5 more (on the rim and out the door) than what I found on the nets, NOT factoring in shipping. If you really care about $5 then ask your local shop to beat the online price for the total package. Most times I have asked, they do.
Sometimes, you will find a deal on 2 rears and 1 front that is too good to pass up.....this is true, but often just 1 of each comes damn close to local shop prices. Out your way, call RnR in Sterling. Rick and crew are good people.
I have shopped here: Tires - Indysuperbikes and been happy as well.
