YEC ECU R6 - May 27, 2009, 09:32 AM

Anyone have a manual for one? Why do people run it with a PC3 also?

Any info would be helpful.

Oneway- do not reply.

Thanks.

YEC kit box is tuned just like any other air/fuel/ignition unit, a spreadsheet/matrix of rpm and throttle position with values for fuel change or ignition change. It also has values for ram air correction, pit lane speed limiters, rpm limit (not much), shifter, intake stack actuation, etc. You need a $350 cable, however, if you want to have that conversation with it.

The PC3 with ignition module does just fuel/ignition/shifting and some minor cylinder trim. It adds weight and complexity.

The Bazzazz is nice, it does fuel, traction control, shifting, and can self map with wideband sensor. It does not do ignition timing in its current form. It also adds some weight and complexity.

I've used all three on current R6s and R1s, and I prefer the YEC box, personally. It seems to be more accurate and precise, plus it has more features.

I should of updated it this earlier. I spoke with the guy who built the motor.

He likes using the PC3 because its easier to tune and uses the YEC ecu for ignition and other features.

I am 1/2 and 1/2 right now, if I do, I would just get the TC. The DJ's QS plugs into the YEC's harness
