Can you try a different dealer? You bought it, its your code.

Can you show up there with license and registration, and have them cut you one?
I figure car dealers can do that, why not bike dealers?

What kind of bike is it? There are a few "chipped" keys out now for various newer bikes. A new ignition will not help in this scenario.

Hm, if you have the registration, you might be able to take it up to a honda dealership and have them cut you a key off the vin. I did that with my truck keys.

Call Honda and explain your situation and give them the vin. They should be able to assist you in getting the code so you can have the key made.

The chipped keys I'm talking about have a proximity chip in them to prevent the starting of the bike without the actual key. The key is linked to the ECU and cannot be started with making the "link" first. This is like most new cars. I know that Suzuki has moved to them.

Have you talked to a local honda dealer? With the registration and a license, and or the title they should have no problem making a key for you.
