Fix a Flat!!!! - May 27, 2010, 01:28 PM

Tires is flat, has a small metal object stuck right in the very middle of the rear tire....

I have the bike at my work in the underground parking lot.

Can i use a "Fix a Flat" to get the bike out and take it to a shop to get it repair or changed?

Bike: 07 GSXR 1000

Any other ides are more than welcome!!!!

Yikes . . be kind to your tire guy, don't use flix-a-flat! Can you plug it yourself/take the tire off the bike, then bring to shop?

+1 w/ mac. It's not ideal, but plug that mofo. That should get you by until you relace the tire.

You need this: http://www.stopngo.com/products/plugger/1001.asp

You can plug the tire in 10 - 20 minutes. I keep this kit on my bike at all times and have used it more than once to plug a tire. Keep in mind that, unlike a car, this is only a temporary fix to get the bike where you need to so you can put on a new tire.

The problem im facing is the getting the bike to the shop... The bike is in an underground parking and dont really have any thing with me to plug it with and put air with.. hence the fix a flat.

Just dont know if it will work or if it does something to the rim ?

Where's your bike? And are you looking to do it today? If tomorrow, I can meet you up with my compressor and spare plugs.

Fix a flat if you've exhausted all other avenues. If you do use it...BE SURE to tell the tire guy you did.

I remember Stillie and I coming back from VA beach when he picked up a nail in the Chesapeake Bay tunnel. We pumped that bitch FULL of FOF and rode all the way back home. MEMORIES.......LIKE THE CORNERS OF MY MIND
