I installed mine 3 weeks ago. I sprung for the hear heat troller. I find that hairspray in a pump bottle works very well for grip glue. It also makes your bike smell pretty for a short while.

Does the bike now have a fresh bounce with firm hold?

I bought the heat troller with my set up. I orig left the blue wire off as suggested by the FJR people on FJR.com. Turned all the way up they got warm, but not warm enough for me. I twisted the red and blue together and it's Niiiiiiice. I don't turn it up over half.
