what's up bro. still waitin to see you out there on the track.

i'll get in touch with my boy. he wrecked his duc monster and smashed up his tank. i think he got it repaired and painted for $600. if i had to remember correctly, he had to send it to pennsylvania though.

Get a bottle of Jack
Paint of your choice
Clear coat (make sure its gas resistant)
Primer
and some sandpaper

Drink while you sand... wipe it down... prime the tank... drink the rest of the bottle... paint the tank, 2-3 coats from the rattle can, look for a beer or something between coats... clear coat it when you wake up hung over in the morning!

lol, $600 is about what it costs at the body shop. And in all seriousness half that money goes into a shop owners pocket..

I am a certified painter and work at a body shop in Purcellville.
I spray sport bikes all the time and it does cost quite a bit for the paint and material for the good stuff to put on. Dupont, PPG Glaserit, or House of Kolor brands to name a few. But you only want to put on the good stuff. Paint comes in 2 ways, good and crap.

The stuff macco sprays is a single stage paint that will last a few months, maybe a season before fading, peeling, spider cracks, etc.
I could do the tank for $200 if your interested. It all gets done the same way a body shop would do it.

I charge $700 for all overs, where the complete bike is disassembled and completely refinished and machine buffed. Send me a private message or email me mixitup132@aol.com if interested

dont bring the bike to a maicco.. it would be a big mistake

So, you would disassemble the fairings and reassemble after painting for 700?
