Red face Making my seat that makes me cry. Warning: motorcycle content. - July 24, 2008, 01:00 PM

1. Purchase an indestructible seat pan
2. Drill holes

3.Weld to pan

4. Attach to hinge

5. Make beefy seat posts

6. Weld posts to pan and make bracket/mini air tank for bladders

7. Find cool coin. For some reason I think they are good luck. Picked up this aluminum coin recently that was throw out at Marti Gras in 1977. I wasnít at the parade but it appears the grand marshal was a total pimp.

8. Heat coin to contour of seat pan and attach.

9. Send seat to the best seat guy in the country. Xian Leather. Didnít know what I wanted so I just said plain. Of course this is like asking Valentio Rossi if he can ride a motorcycle. He probably did the seat with his eyes closed. It looks perfect to me.

Now all I have to do is finish the bike.

I'm hoping the bike turns out nice too but I won't have leather covering up my welds so...
