2 parts paint, 1 part reducer and if you are using harderner on paint just let me know how much paint you are using and I will tell you how much you can use per pint, qt or gallon .

lets say per pint , and yes im using hardner and reducer with enamel pitch black paint and should i mix my primer the same way, im still in the process of prepin the race bodywork, so it doesnt have to b perfect but i figure it will look better then a spray paint job.

Ford midnight black is the best black out there. A painter friend of mine told me.

doesn't it give you the mixing ratio on the back of the can? It is hard because most paints have diff ratios. the older sikkens you need to be a chemist to mix right. PPG is real easy to mix. The amount of hardener depends on how fast you want it to dry and what temp it is when you paint the parts. What type of paint are you using?

3608s acrylic laquer thinner
1986s nuetral gray acrylic sealer
v131s acrylic precoat
my other question i do the precoat then spray the sealer
and i think i have hardner too some where there all dupont products and yea i looked at the cans it does give me ratios , so i guess i need to go buy a measuring cup

i do not know about the pre coat. i use to spray the sealer let it flah a bit. Than hit it with color. for the measuring cup go to a body shop supply house or just to a body shop and ask to buy a couple of there cups. the have all the diff. ratios printed on the cup so it makes mixing real easy. Also buy a tack cloth. very littly rub the pieces down between coats. Remember your paint job is only as good as the prep work. If you are spraying black it is real important to take your time during prep. Black shows every inperfection. Good luck and have fun.

ok cool thanx , yea i know black is goin to show every flaw and theres plenty since its used body work , but the paint job that was on it looked like spray bomb , plus the bike has yellow rims not sure what else would look good and the paint was free thats always a plus.

I know all of this stuff cause I use to paint and used DUPONT products for years !!

ok heres how you mix this stuff

131s is the primer and you use 3608s with it and the mix ratio is 1 to 1!
air presure depends of types of GUNS you are using.

after it dries you sand it with 320 or 400 grit sand paper and the pre clean it with any cleaner.

1986s is the sealer and its ready to be used right of the can !
air presure depends on spray GUN.

the 99s is the black paint and you should have the 8022s mid temp reducer and the mix ratio with that is 2 parts 99s, 1 part 8022s reducer oh and yeah is you are using the entire can of paint you will just add 4 Oz or a cap full of 792s or 793s harderner to your paint and bam you are ready to paint ! oh and yeah once you use the harderner on paint you have to use the entire paint cause next day the paint will be DRY!

Hope this help if not then just PM me and I will explain everything over the phone.

Chico
I painted cars for 10 years my borther and yeah I know how to use other types of paints too
