Need help: how to polish plastic - August 10, 2009, 03:13 PM

Ok I'm trying to figure out what I will need I was thinking about working up to 3k grit sand paper and then using metal polish but I tried some polish on a good test area but seemed to do more harm than good; am I just stuck trying wax or pledge; this sucks because it's black plastic so unless its perfect or near it it just look like crap.

I just received my replacement cowl and guards and they are a little marred from shipping in a few spots I tried lightly dusting a few spots on the old ones with a torch and it defiantly doesn't have the same effect heat has on lexan.

Any help is much appreciated .
