Already laid the groundwork with regards to kitchenpass. (Bemoaning the surgery and inability to use arm for 6 months, etc.) Told her I'd be leaving early on Saturday and returning Sunday late afternoon.

I was thinking ahead.

Now I just need to do bike maintenance today/tomorrow. It's all about the prep.

Lots of work has been going on, added a lot more single track. Don't worry! They are open and flowing.

National Weather Service has our area listed for a 30% chance of rain. The course is segmented in a way that will
allow us to take out potential problem areas and go to a "rain route" of open ATV style course.

We have Saturday night entertainment by Steam Shovel and the concessions will be providing a supper, not sure what's on the menu.

1:30 Event 5 laps ~40 miles
10:45 Event 4 laps ~28 miles
8:30 event 3 laps ~18 miles

This area is actually pretty dry. This past Friday night we had almost 3/4 inch of rain and by Noon Saturday I was working on the course with very little mud, by Sunday we were getting dust. With the past two races in mind we have strived to work on a course with lots of options to circumvent problems from rain come event weekend. I hate to scuttle a good course because of weather and I know some of you racers really do well in tough conditions, I am slowly learning how hard our event can be. No matter what happens we want everyone to leave with a positive experience.

In regards to the Hillbilly, everyone is welcome to leave anything they want, we can provide water to refill campers, we don't have electrical hookups. Run everything on propane. We do have a couple of places that can refill propane near the track.
The problem with black tanks is being worked on, looking for a place between exit 60 and exit 19.

If you have any questions ask in this thread, I will be checking it every night. Your question might be the same as someone elses, that way I can answer it once, lol.

P.S. I need a rear fender for the bike listed below. I am "The Snake's" first victim. In the "Broken Ankle" section f.y.i. I only broke the fender this time.

Wild race. I can't wait to see the pictures start pouring in from the track. I had my best overall ever (21st) though the overall turnout was a bit lower than normal (101 + 5 DNFs). I will say that I am a fan of the S12 Rear and M59 front in that crappy weather. So much better than at Sandy Bottom where I came in second to last...

It was not as terrible as Sandy Bottom (note that we all got more than one lap in this time), but there was a hill climb that was passable with momentum, but there were always downed riders up the entire thing, so you basically had to have someone help you the last few laps. A few nice mud fleas showed up and helped folks up, which was awesome.

Yea fun times. Too bad I got penalized a lap but hey it was still fun. And why does my bike look cleaner? Cause of all the we-40 and plastic polish I used. Also helped keep mud from sticking to my helmet.
