Yea, about 4.5 unless there is a huge tractor trailer accident, which adds 3 hours to the trip and causes you to miss practice on Saturday.

Operator error.

My go-to Husky dealer in IL (Hall's Cycle) has a shaft in stock and is shipping it today along with the side cover gasket. $115 shipped.

The parts guy knew what I was after as soon as I told him the part number

I had heard of it sporadically over the years and the guy who built my engine said he sold his spare to another guy who broke one recently. I dunno, I'm just so relieved they had one in stock.

I guess after so many hours (330hr at time of failure) and the fresh rebuild the increased effort was too much for the old one. At least now I'll have nice fresh splines so the lever won't flop around any more

Considering how many bikes are left for dead with fewer hours I'd say you're doing alright.
