About time the supermoto gets coverage on speed. Hopefully, supermoto will grow and we'll get some actual supermoto tracks in our area. I mean dirt + pavement

A friend of mine out in CA ice races at the pro level. He crashed and broke his leg in 9 places and had all sorts of rods and screws to repair his leg.

3 months later he was back out racing...pretty crazy stuff.

The lean angles they get are insane...does look like fun...unless you crash and go straight into a wall...

Someone on supermotojunkie made a very good point. He was saying that for supermoto to really grow there needs to be urban venues so that people who buy street supermotos can have a place to ride without driving 5 or 6 hours into the boondocks. And of course having events closer to town means it will be easier to get new people into it.

Someone else suggested setting up parking lot courses like they do for autocrosses. Maybe throw in a table top jump or two and dirt if the location allows for it.

I'm hoping someone takes that idea and rolls with it. In the mean time maybe we could get something going at Sandy Hook next season. I don't know if there's anyway a dirt section could be added but its a decent-sized kart track.

There are a few courses in the works but mostly for the mini-supermotos.
I think the idea for the parking lot courses is great however, problem is finding a place where we won't get kicked out.

Once I get some time I'm going to look into finding a place where something like this can be set up.
