Anybody riding dirt this Labor Day? - August 31, 2013, 08:26 PM

I've got the itch to ride some dirt this weekend and half my dirt buddies are currently broken and the other half have bike problems in one form or another. Anybody else looking to get out on Monday?

I'm gonna be exploring on my strom, which usually ends up with some light dirt duty. But I won't be doing any real dirt riding

Not Monday, but Taskers tomorrow at 9:30. And that means 9:30, not noon

I've got a dedicated dirt bike and dedicated sportbike. Unfortunately none that can cross over....yet.

I'm taking my girl horseback riding tomorrow so that's out for me. I'd probably be down for Taskers on Monday though if you guys decide to hit it two days in a row.

D/Sing tomorrow. You need a dirt bike with a plate.

I actually like Wicomico. I'd be down with that.

If I hadn't broken the bike open for maintenance before Michaux I'd think about Wicomico and to bring my daughter. She's probably faster than Marc anyway. I don't want to see him crying later.

Don't laugh. She has a KLR110 with an autoclutch. She's not bad getting the bike around a tight course. So now I will introduce her to more difficult riding. 2-3 times and she will likely be doing pretty well. I just need to motivate her.

Well if you ever change your mind and decide you don't want her to ride, just bring her out to Taskers once.

I'm working her up to Taskers. 1-2 years at most is my guess. She needs better brake control....and will need disc brakes and not drum brakes.

Dont worry Marc, by the time she's faster than you she will also be taller than you. I give it 2 years.

Nah, still need to get the kickstand mount repaired. The plan is to jump on the DR-Z tomorrow. It should be good to go other than moving a Garmin mount over to it. Speaking of which... I need to hit the sack!
