Blue Diamond Hare Scramble - Nov 17th - October 24, 2013, 07:12 AM

So this is the second easiest hare scramble event I know of. (Wicomico being the easiest)

http://www.delawareenduroriders.com/...lyer111613.pdf

It runs through an MX course, abandoned theme park, rock/sand quarry, woods, a very little bit of pavement, and some open fields. Adult course is a 10 mile loop. If you have ridden Taskers Gap then this will be pretty simple. Still, it's a fun event.

If you want to do better, then go up on Saturday and hit the MX course to figure out the turns and easy jumps. I have never been able to practice ahead of time and it hurts my times as I roll the jumps.

Who's going?

If I can bum a ride I'm in (I'll even bring breakfast).

Sort of funny watching the throttle get stuck open at 18:45, just because I know that feeling.

Separate C class. What are you guys doing? I could do B or C. The fact that it is separated sounds nice, but I know there will always be sandbaggers in there.

I have to get a kitchenpass for this event. (SHould be easy)

But I'm also thinking of going up early to visit friends and family in the area. Plus I *might* try the practice day before hand to at least get a feel for the MX course. There are some easy jumps IIRC. I will let you know in about a week.

Of course I also saw a guy seriously overjump a tabletop. (Like by 30-40 feet past it. How he didn't just fold up like an accordion I still don't know.) So I'm cautious in my approach to jumps.

I should be in if I can get a ride with one of you. I assume we want to leave early on Sat and come home on Sunday after the race?

What time are you leaving and can I bum a ride? I was going to get a new tire, but I think the one I have should be ok. I'm not trying to win, just to have a good time and get some more race experience under my belt.
