Grassroots Race 6 - September 4, 2009, 06:59 AM

Grassroots Race 6 is next Saturday, the 12th. This is the next to last race of the season. Come out before Winter sets in and you're wondering where the year went and wishing you could get a little track time.
As always it's only $20 to get in the track and race. We have classes for everyone- Open, 250, DRZ, Mini, Scooters, 2-stroke, 4-stroke, AM, EX, Street Legal, Knobbie Tires, etc.
Race is at Colonial Beach Dragway. Track is 1.3 miles long, incorporating the drag strip as part of it, with a .3 mile dirt sedction replete with tabletop, double, 2 bermed corners & whoop section.
Any questions call me, Aaron, at 301-481-9245.
See y'all at the track.

Come on down. It's $10 to spectate. Only $20 to race, might as well cough up the extra $10 and race. We had a stock DR650 on the track (complete with fairing) in July. He rode the bike to the track, ran around during practice and then spectated most of the races (he actually ran in the open class). Then he rode the bike home.

Nope. I'm just a racer trying to get something going in the DC area so that I don't have to drive 6+ hours every time I want to race. None of that high tech website stuff for me (& I'm too cheap to pay for hosting).
Look a few threads down at the "Grassroots Race 5" or the "New Dirt, Bigger Track @ Colonial Beach" threads for links to pics & vids of the track.

It's a standard supermoto race folks.

There's a little of this:

Some of this

And no sumo event is complete without this.

Pics above are not from Colonial Beach but you get the idea.

C'mon down and have some fun. It's only $20 bucks.

Shooom, most of the ESMRA races are on Sunday if you can't make Colonial Beach. There is a round at Englishtown, NJ in a couple of weeks that I'm thinking of hitting. It's a fun track too. Dirt isn't as challenging as CB but it's fun.

Sorry folks but the Dragstrip races are on Sunday so the only days I can get are Saturdays. I am talking to other venues though and will probably expand to some other areas next season and incorporate some Sunday races.
We still have an October race this year too, the 17th.

Go to supermotojunkie and look up MotoMD. That's Sonja from ESMRA. She'll get you straightened out.

It's really laid back, just like Grassroots.
